Norwegian Porcelain Wall Plaques – SOLD

This is a set of 3 Norwegian Porcelain Wall Plaques.  It features dancers in national costumes with colors in white, black, red, blue and yellow.  Each plaque is just over 6 inches tall, 4.5″ inches at it’s widest and about 1/4″ thick.  Each one weighs about 6.5oz.  We’re figuring they are from the 70’s, but they look brand new.

On the back of each is a verse from the Norwegian folk song “Per Spelmann”.  Obviously given out as marketing items, they say “Korni – the best flat bread vi have” and then “Good Wishes from Vestfold Flat Bread Factory”.

While marketing humble flat bread, the plaques are designed and manufactured by Figgjo in Norway, renowned for outstanding quality and Nordic design since 1941.  Figgjo is the only remaining porcelain manufacturer in Norway.

These would be lovely wall decorations in any kitchen .  Or, serve up Norwegian flatbread and sursild on them, along with a Norwegian aquavit snaps.  Skål!
