Rosemaling Pewter Fruit Bowl

From the 1960’s, this is a Selbu pewter pedestal fruit bowl.  The diameter is just under 7.5″ and it stands just over 3.5″ tall.  Over 60 years old, there are a few scratches but these are minor and just lend to the character of the piece.

The patterns is of Rosemaling influenced flowers which give the bowl a great, modern BoHo look.

The bottom is stamped “Selbu Norsk Tinn Pewter BJ 430”.  Selbu is a municipality in mid-Norway, just east of Trondheim, and is famous for it’s black and white knitted garments.
