Woolen hand stitched bell pull in a traditional Norwegian pattern with wooden hardware on the top and bottom for wall hanging. Colors include green and brown tones, blues and yellow on white. Backed with mauve canvas.
Originally, the “klokkestreng” was used as a pull to ring the steeple bells and also in larger manor homes to ring a bell to summon the servants. As the call systems in homes were updated, the now obsolete bell pulls have become decorative objects.
Measures 40″ long and 6.5″ wide excluding the wooden hangers, and 46″ long including the hardware, the hardware is 8″ wide. The bell pull weighs 12oz.
