Home to Norway is a small family business made up of myself (Michelle), my mother, Linda, and my Aunt Vicki. Vicki lives in Lillestrøm in Norway. My mother and I moved moved from Oslo to Florida over 30 years ago but still we consider Norway our home and visit as often as we can.
When visiting my Aunt Vicki in Norway, Linda and I started hitting antique stores and outdoor markets; shopping for rosemaling, textiles, cutlery, and other Scandinavian treasures to bring back to Florida. We loved having “a piece of Norway” – quite a few pieces, if we’re being honest – in our homes.
On one trip to Norway I decided to bring back some of these unique items as gifts for my friends and they were a huge hit! It was then that we discovered that these beautifully crafted Scandinavian items had a broader appeal than we realized. From modern to traditional, mid-century to boho, these pieces compliment almost any style of home decor!
