Norwegian Pewter Vase

$36.00

From the 60’s or 70’s, this pewter vase is from Vågå in the central Norway district of Gudbrandsdal.  For being 60+ years old, it’s in great shape with no scratches or dents, just regular wear from handling.  The vase would look great in a midcentury or shabby-chic environment!

The vase stands 9.5″ tall and is just under 4″ wide in the midsection.  It weighs just under 14oz.  The bottom is stamped, “Vågå Norsk Tinn Pewter BJ.H 231”.

Pewter decor dates back to the Roman times in Scandinavia.  Read more about pewter here.
