Vintage Metal Pitcher

This cool tin pitcher was found in Norway by Linda back in 1975 while exploring some old cottages on an uninhabited island in Møre on the west coast where fishermen once lived.  The cottages looked to have been abandoned in the 1920’s.  So, we’re thinking that this canister is around a century old.  It says “1 LITER” on the front as well as an inscription that is partially worn away.  This would be great to display on a shelf, especially with some wildflowers in it!

This item measures 8 1/4″ in diameter and about 6 1/2″ tall.  There is a small dent in the tip of the pitcher spout but, for being so old, we think that’s pretty good!  Intended for decorative use.
