Norwegian Selbu-style hand cross-stitched bell pull in Selbu’s black and white star patterns with wrought iron hardware on the top for wall hanging. Backed with natural canvas.
Originally, the “klokkestreng” was used as a pull to ring the steeple bells and also in larger manor homes to ring a bell to summon the servants. As the call systems in homes were updated, the now obsolete bell pulls have become decorative objects.
Measures 45″ long including the wrought iron hanger and bottom fringe, and just over 7″ wide excluding the hardware, the hardware is 9″ wide.
