Seeing is believing for this Rosemaling piece! At 17″ in diameter, this wooden platter is huge. It would look stunning as a centerpiece on a dining table, or hang it on a wall with the hook already installed on the back.
With the signature C-scroll, the Rosemaling style is Telemark painted on a Norwegian red background. Colors include brown, green/blue tones, beiges and tans with black accenting. The bottom is painted Norwegian blue. The wood’s grain comes through nicely lending to the folk art feel of the piece.
To give you an idea of the size, we’ve included a photo of the platter with a dollar bill.
The platter is 16.5″ diameter and 3″ tall, and weighs just under 3lbs.
