Norwegian Rosemaling meets French Provence!
This cheerful wooden bowl will look great in a Scandi setting, on a Provence-inspired table, or in Shabby-Chic décor. Serve homemade bread in it like we do in Norway, and the bowl will add joy to any meal.
The Rosemaling paint style is hard to define for this piece. The S-scrolls are incorporated into the artwork along with the stylized flowers. The colors are bright and “young” and not the typical Rosemaling color palettes. The painting style is casual and free-flowing.
The bowl has been loved. There are signs of wear; on places the paint is worn, and there’s one tiny nick by one handle. See the photos. We think this all just adds charm and personality.
From handle to handle, the bowl is 12.5″ wide. It stands 3.25″ tall and is just over 9″ deep. It weighs 1lb 8oz.
