Painted in 1998, this black wooden Rosemaling plate is ready to hang on your wall. The writing in gold along the bottom says, “I livet lykke ihjertet fred is heimen hygge og kjærlighet” – translated: In life, happiness in the heart, peace in the home, comfort and love.
The style of Rosemaling is hard to decide. Happy flowers in reds and purples with green leaves are surrounded by blue S-scrolls. It is signed by the artist with May R. 98.
25 years old, the plate is in good shape and we can’t see any blemishes. It’s 12″ in diameter, and stands 1/2″ tall. It weighs 1lb 4 oz.
