The striking feature of Hallingdal Rosemaling is a central flower around which all things gather symmetrically. This wooden Rosemaling plate is a great example of the Hallingdal style. On a black background, vibrant colors including orange, tans, blues and white really pop. Details and accents are in white and tan.
From Telemark, the plate is signed by the artist C.S. Bakken. The strokes are strong and confident. We can’t see any dents, cracks or scratches. The plate is 7.5″ in diameter, 0.75″ high and weighs 16oz.
