We’re not sure of the age of this bowl, but figure its at least 30 years old. It’s done in the Hallingdal-style of Rosemaling which features a central flower with symmetrical designs around it.
The bowl is initialed by the author with K.S. The background color is maroon which makes the flower designs in rust-red, blues and greens that much more striking. Accents are added in white and black.
The bowl shows some small areas where the paint is worn off; please see the close-up photo. The bowl is 7″ in diameter and stands 1.75″ tall. It weighs just over 4 ounces.
