From 1969. this wooden Rosemaling bowl is in remarkable condition! Painted in the traditional Norwegian red, the bowl is done in Telemark style which is defined by the signature C-scroll from which all the other design elements grow.
The bowl is initialed by the artist with “T.L. 69”. The artwork is strong and confident, and the design is well-balanced. The colors are green/blue and brown tones, accented with white. It’s an excellent example of accomplished Rosemaling.
The bowl measures around 7.75″ and stands 1.75″ tall. It weighs 6 ounces.
There is one spot along the rim that looks to be a tiny drop of paint, but otherwise, the bowl seems unscathed.
